In Berlin, the German centre for transport engineering competence with a wealth of reference objects and over 220 resident firms in the transport engineering industry, InnoTrans provides a meeting-place for national and international suppliers and customers in the areas of passenger and freight transport. With the main focus of the exhibition on railway technology) InnoTrans has established itself as an international platform for the industry. Immediately adjacent to the display areas in the exhibition halls, a wide range of rail-guided vehicles will be presented in the Static Display on the tracks of the Berlin Exhibition Centre. The exhibition will also focus on the areas of „Railway Infrastructure“, „Interiors“, „Public Transport“ und "Tunnel Construction". Within the framework of the exhibition, the InnoTrans Convention will take place. The main feature here will be the Dialog Forum under the auspices of the German Transport Forum, the Association of German Transport Companies (VDV), the European Rail Transport Industry confederation (UNIFE) and the German Railway Industry Association (VDB). Initiated and organised by Deutsche Bahn AG (German Rail), the European and Asian Rail Summit (EARS) offers scope for dialogue between the Transport Ministers and General Directors of Central European and Asian transport undertakings. That part of the exhibition dealing with "Tunnel Construction" will be accompanied by small discussion groups with international participation, within the framework of the InnoTrans Convention. The discussions will be led by STUVA (Study Group for Underground Transport).
